Boston Gold Buyers | We Will Buy Your Gold
Buying and selling gold in Boston can get a little overwhelming. With so many places offering Cash for Gold these days (and unfortunately a large number of fly-by-night operations), how do you know where to go? You want someone who is knowledgeable, experienced, and well-established. In other words, someone you can trust and who makes you feel comfortable. We at Bromfield Jewelers have been buying and selling gold in Boston and surrounding communities for well over 20 years. We have the means and experience to offer you the highest return (and with that, peace of mind) for your gold.
Why wait? You can still take advantage of the high gold market and turn those broken earrings into CASH!
Our Gold Buying experience, dedication, and industry knowledge have made us a leader in the Downtown Boston Area, the Jewelry District, as well as the following cities and neighborhoods in Boston and it’s suburbs.
Precious metals include Platinum, Gold, and Silver, and jewelry is made from all three.
Platinum: The heaviest and most rare of all the precious metals. It is 95% pure on average and will never tarnish or lose its rich white luster, and is known for its strength and durability.
Gold: Gold Jewelry is made using 10, 14, 18, and sometimes 22 karat gold. Karat simply means the amount of gold versus alloy: 24k is pure gold, so a piece of 14k jewelry is about 58% gold and 42% alloy. Common alloys used in gold are copper, nickel, and silver. The higher the gold content, the softer the metal. For this reason, jewelry is rarely made using pure gold as it would be too fragile for general wear. Gold can be yellow, rose or white in color.
Silver: The most abundant and inexpensive of the precious metals. Sterling Silver, used in most jewelry, is 92.5% silver and 7.5% copper, but you will sometimes find Nickel Silver (.800) or Fine Silver (.999). Silver is relatively soft and exposure to oxygen causes it to tarnish.
